Hamilton 7s: Fijiana beaten 27-0 by Black Ferns in second pool match

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has been beaten by hosts Black Ferns 27-0 in their second pool match of the Hamilton 7s.

Risi Pouri-Lane and Michaela Blyde scored two quick tries for the Black Ferns to lead 12-0 at the half time.

They further extended their lead through a try each from Jazmin Felix-Hotham and Stacey Fluher while Sarah Hirini drove the final nail in the coffin at full time.

Fijiana will now take on PNG at 5.37pm in their final pool match.

The women’s cup quarter finals will kick-off at 8.30am tomorrow, the cup semi final will begin at 12.20pm and the cup final will be at 6.26pm tomorrow.

Meanwhile the Fiji Airways men’s national 7s team will take on Samoa in their final pool match at 3.06 this afternoon.

The men’s cup quarter-finals will start at 9.58am tomorrow, the semi finals begin at 1.48pm and the final will be played at 6.56pm tomorrow.
