More than 100 market vendors from Nausori were today part of the continuing market business education held at the Nausori Market.
The UNDP together with Westpac are carrying out this program to educate the market vendors on saving money for future needs.
UNDP Training and Research Coordinator Cema Bolabola said Westpac has trained the market vendors on Financial Literacy which will help them save more money.
Bolabola said these sessions are about telling the market vendors about savings, budgeting, social protection or insurance and adopting good business practices like recordkeeping.
Meanwhile, a market vendor, Anita Devi said she has learnt a lot from this workshop and she will start saving money with the savings bank account which she opened during the workshop.
