UN Women to assist female market vendors

A partnership with the United Nations Women is expected to ease the difficulties faced by female market vendors soon.

This is according to Rakiraki Town Special Administrator, Seini Reiko who said that there is a market project currently being negotiated with UN Women in partnering with councils to improve the market facilities.

Reiko said these projects are not only for Rakiraki but for markets around the country.

The UN Women will be identifying areas in the country for pilot projects.
