The prestigious Vodafone Super Deans U18 Trophy has made its way to the United States, becoming the centrepiece of a celebration organized by former students of Queen Victoria School.
This event, held in honour of QVS' recent victory, marks a proud moment for the school's alumni living abroad.
As part of the festivities, the former students also hosted their Annual General Meeting in Santa Rosa, where 180 former students of Vulinitu gathered to not only commemorate the Deans Trophy triumph but also to reconnect and reflect on their shared history.
The gathering served as a celebration of both the school’s sporting achievements and the enduring bond between the old boys, who continue to support and uplift their school from across the globe.
While speaking to fijivillage News on behalf of the old scholars, Timoci Lutu expressed their pride in supporting the young gladiators who brought honour to QVS.
Lutu says as they celebrate this victory, their thoughts are also with the current students in Fiji, especially as they prepare for the last term of the school year.
He emphasised the importance of education, reminding the students to remain focused and strive for excellence in their studies, just as they have in sports.
The event in the U.S. was a reflection of the deep connection and commitment QVS alumni have for their school, ensuring that no matter where they are in the world, the spirit of Vulinitu remains strong.
The Deans Trophy will be travelling back to QVS next week.
