Two men who threatened and robbed a pastor inside her home during curfew hours in Rakiraki in April last year have been given prison terms.
Esira Nawaqalevu and Penaia Rareba pleaded guilty to the charges of aggravated robbery and failure to comply with orders.
Nawaqalevu has been sentenced to 5 years while Rareba will spend 4 years, 9 months and 26 days in jail.
It was heard in court that Nawaqalevu and Rareba in the company of two others stole more than $20,000 and assorted items from the pastor’s house.
They also restrained the pastor with cellotape before escaping.
