Two men charged with murder and drug cultivation front court

Two men charged with murder and cultivation of illegal drugs appeared before High Court Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza this morning.

It is alleged that on 26th December 2018 Apisai Lomani Junior and Leone Naisake assaulted Filipe Loloma Junior which resulted in his death.

It is also alleged between 1st August to 26th December 2018 they cultivated 23 plants of marijuana weighing 10.5 kg.

The drugs were discovered as part of the police investigation into the alleged murder.

The alleged incidents happened at Wailoaloa Farm in Nakasaleka, Kadavu.

Bail has been extended for both men.

The case will be called again on the 17th of this month.
