Two members of the Crime Prevention Committee from Mulomulo spent three nights in the forests of Bemana, Navosa to locate six horses which were stolen from their community earlier this month.
Divisional Police Commander Western, Senior Superintendent of Police, Iakobo Vaisewa says they were also accompanied by two police officers from Mulomulo Police Post last Friday and they tracked the horses right to Bemana in Navosa.
He says most people would report and sit back to watch the police do their work but the two members decided to assist the police which is the true meaning of Duavata where two institutions came together to solve a common problem in the Mulomulo Community.
SSP Vaisewa visited the members to appreciate their initiative in locating the horses and acknowledged the efforts shown by the two members and thanked their families for their support while the two were away for three days.
