Two Cyprus nationals, Loizos Petridis and Cleanthis Petridis who are charged with obtaining financial advantage by deception will have their case called on the 17th of this month to fix a hearing date.
Both have pleaded not guilty to their charges.
They have been further remanded in custody.
It is alleged that in December 2017, they were allegedly engaged directly or indirectly in obtaining $12,500 which were proceeds of crime – while knowing it was derived from some form of unlawful activity.
It is also alleged that in December 2017 they procured $17,900 from the BSP Bank with the intention to permanently deprive the bank of the amount.
It is also alleged they possessed $203,011 suspected of being proceeds of crime.
