Blues front-rowers Ofa Tu'ungafasi and Kurt Eklund are not likely to play this weekend as they have been cited for dangerous play during their 43-27 loss to the Crusaders at Auckland's Eden Park on Sunday.

Prop Tu'ungafasi was yellow-carded for a shoulder-charge on Crusaders lock Scott Barrett while Eklund was penalised for his pro-wrestling style suplex of Sevu Reece.

Upon review, the SANZAAR foul play committee deemed that both incidents deserved red cards.

Both players face judicial hearings and can be considered highly doubtful to face the Chiefs this weekend.

The Blues will take on the Chiefs at 6.05pm Saturday while the Hurricanes will face the Highlanders at 6.05pm Friday.
