Gaining weight post pregnancy is a normal thing for some women and losing it is one of the most difficult things to encounter.

Such was the dilemma faced by Adelene Tutu who is a mother of two beautiful kids.

Tutu was recently given a $20,000 grant under the Young Entrepreneurs Scheme to develop an app that aims to help Fijian Women lose weight and become healthier.

She says what made her start this program was actually going through it, herself.

She says she found it really difficult to lose weight, and the most difficult part was to convince herself to eat in portions.

Tutu adds that there was an app that provided meal plans but most of the food that was listed was not available in Fiji.

She says she had to go to the Suva market and look for all the sources of healthy food herself.

It was then that she had realized the difficulty every second woman in Fiji was going through and decided to tread on a path to help women all over Fiji, achieve their fitness goals.

Adelene is currently speaking with developers to start work on her wellness app.

At present, she is conducting training for women in Fiji through her Facebook and Instagram pages “Get Lean Fiji”.

She has thanked the Fijian Government for giving her an opportunity to grow her business and help women all over Fiji get fit.
