The traffic signal on Kings Road near Kalokalo Crescent junction will be operational from 9.30 tonight.
According to the Fiji Roads Authority, the traffic signal is equipped with a vehicle detector system which will optimise the phase timing based on the number of vehicles arriving at the intersection.
It says a backup power system has also been installed to keep the traffic signal in operation in case of power outage.
