The Fiji Water Flying Fijians have a huge challenge ahead of them this Friday when they take on Tonga on their home ground knowing Tonga will have a huge support from their home crowd.
Coach Mick Byrne earlier said that playing Tonga on their home ground is just like any other team playing the Flying Fijians in Fiji.
He says the Pacific crowd support on their teams is incredible and this week’s clash against Tonga will be a huge test for them but they will need to stay focused on the task.
The Ikale Tahi would also want to turn the tables around this time after losing 14-10 to the Flying Fijians on their home turf the last time they met at Teufaiva Stadium in 2017.
Tonga will be aiming for their first win of the competition after losing their first match 43-17 against Tonga over the weekend.
The Flying Fijians currently lead Pool A with 5 points ahead of Samoa who also has 5 points with Tonga yet to register a win.
In Pool B, Japan currently leads with 5 points followed by the USA with 5 points and Canada with 1 point.
The Flying Fijians will take on Tonga at 3pm in Nuku’alofa.
In another PNC match this weekend, Japan will host the USA at 10.05pm Saturday.
