Vuda chief and former Labour Minister Ratu Tevita Momoedonu believes that the proposed party candidates who will stand in the 2014 elections should be young, well educated and energetic.
The Taukei Sawaieke said time has changed and older politicians should give upcoming aspiring candidates a chance to help move Fiji forward.
When asked if he will want to contest the elections, Momoedonu said that age has caught up with him, however he will instead focus on the developments of Vuda and the Ba province.
Momoedonu was appointed by the late former President Ratu Josefa Iloilo as caretaker Prime Minister for one day after Parliament was dissolved in 2001 and a caretaker administration was appointed to steer Fiji to elections.
He won the Vuda Open seat in the 1999 general elections under the Fiji Labor Party led by the former Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry.
