The military’s Land Force Commander Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga was today awarded the Operational Leadership Award or Command Medal during the Honors and Awards Medal ceremony at Queen Elizabeth Barracks.
Prime Minister and Army Commander Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama officiated at the ceremony as part of the RFMF’s recognition for officers who have served the country for more than 15 years.
Apart from Colonel Tikoitoga, Major Isoa Loanakadavu was also awarded the Meritorious Service Decorations.
This is given to those who have commanded the Force including Colonels of the Regiment and Honorary Colonels.
Eight other recipients received the Meritorious Service Awards.
More than 300 soldiers took part in the medal parade.
