Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration Pio Tikoduadua says he has accepted the invitation by the Commander of the RFMF, Major General Jone Kalouniwai, to visit the RFMF Headquarters at Berkley Crescent and Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua next week.

Tikoduadua says he has met with the Commander, and the Commander has assured him that he shares the Government’s vision for a peaceful, prosperous and secure Fiji for all Fijians.

He says Kalouniwai has also assured him that all arms used for personal protection of the former Prime Minister, former Ministers and the Chief Justice have been accounted for and are back in the armoury.

The Minister has also commended the Commander for being instrumental in the transition, and for his respect for the rule of law, the institution and the peaceful transfer of power.
