The community partnership forged between the Fiji Police Force and Tiko Kece Taxis continues to reap results with the quick arrest of two men alleged to be involved in an aggravated robbery case this morning.
Divisional Police Commander South SSP Abdul Khan says a report was received that a taxi driver was robbed after his taxi was hired from Khalsa Road to Nadawa where the alleged offence took place.
He says upon receiving the report assistance was sought from Tiko Kece drivers and they were able to ask their members to keep a look out for the stolen vehicle.
SSP Khan says the taxi was sighted in Suva by a Tiko Kece driver who then alerted police that the taxi was found abandoned at Augustus Street.
Officers from Totogo managed to arrest one suspect and gave chase on foot whereby a second suspect was arrested.
Police say both are in custody as investigations continue.
