Thousands are turning up to try to get a shot at being a cabin crew member on the national airline, Fiji Airways.

The Fiji Airways recruitment team is expecting to receive more than 2,000 applicants at it’s Cabin Crew Open Day recruitment at the Damodar Aquatic Centre in Suva today.

Fiji Airways General Manager Inflight Service Delivery Edwin Aisake says they are in the process of finalising the number of people they want.

He says the objective today is to reach out to the people that have what it takes to be a cabin crew member.

The Open Day will close at 4.30 this afternoon.

A Cabin Crew Open Day recruitment will also be done at the Nadi Sports Club on Thursday.

After the Open Day, candidates who have met all the requirements will be invited to sit an online test on a later date.

Following this is the final interview where the final set of candidates are then selected.

In its most recent cabin crew recruitment, 20 candidates were chosen from more than 1,000 applicants.
