Thousands of people living in Sabeto, Votualevu, Namaka, Martintar, Nasoso and Navakai in Nadi will face disruptions in their water supply from 6pm 2nd November till 7pm 3rd November.

Water Authority of Fiji is advising people to store enough water for cooking, bathing and laundry purposes during this period.

They say they will ensure that during the disruption there will be no interruptions in major services such as hospitals, the airport and schools through their water carting services.

Water Authority is also advising customers that they will be on standby in case of emergency situations.

The Authority says they have plans to hold consultations for the affected residents sometimes next week.

The water disruption is to allow Water Authority to carry out cut-in works on the re-aligned sections of inlet truck mains to Blackrock Reservoir.
