Thousands of people across parts of the Suva and Nausori corridor have been facing low pressure to no water since Sunday after a burst along pipes at the Waimanu Pumping Station which has affected supply at the Tamavua Treatment Plant.
From Suva to Nasinu, Tamavua, Tacirua, Samabula and all the way to Lami, people are being asked by the Water Authority of Fiji to store water that will last for two to three days.
WAF says their teams have completed repairs and water supply is being steadily restored for people in affected areas.
Parents of a pre-school along Samabula had to take bottles of water with them while dropping their children off this morning.
Other residents who have continued to face low pressure since Sunday had their water cut at 8.30 last night.
Residents in Tacirua have told us that they have been without water for about a week now.
Sakoca residents say there are disruptions every Thursday and Friday.
A resident told us they get a text from the Water Authority of Fiji nearly everyday to tell them to expect low pressure to no water.
Some reservoirs are also dropping to critical levels.
The Water Authority of Fiji says the water level in these reservoirs have not recovered well.
If you live along Nadi Back Road, you should store water for at least three days as there will be water disruptions in your areas from Friday until further notice.
The Water Authority of Fiji has confirmed that their technical teams will be carrying out pipe connection works from 8pm Friday.
People living in Meiguniah, Field 18, Jamila Subdivision, Jar Subdivision and Nadi Back Road will be affected.
