Thousands of people living in parts of Nasinu have been facing water supply disruptions since last Thursday.

People living in elevated parts of Khalsa Road, Tacirua, Valelevu, Kalabu and Newtown were expecting their water supply to be restored by last night but the Water Authority of Fiji now says these people can now expect water supply to normalise later this morning.

They say all major repair works have been completed and they are now waiting for water levels at the reservoir to reach acceptable levels.

The Water Authority of Fiji says the water supply system in Tovata had experienced mechanical issues at the booster pumps and this caused slight delays in the water restoration efforts yesterday.

People living in some parts of Nailuva Road and Moli Place off Ratu Dovi Road in Suva have also been without water supply since last night because damaged fire hydrants.

WAF says all repair works have been completed and people can expect normal water supply this morning.
