This is the ingredient that has been missing from Super Rugby Pacific, and I am so glad that it is here now.
Sky Sports New Zealand top rugby commentator Tony Johnson stated this to Greg Clark on his podcast on Pacific Island teams playing in Super Rugby after the Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika game in New Zealand.
Johnson further says there is a level of support for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua who have made the playoffs.
He adds the last thing he wants is for the Pacific Islands to not just be breeding grounds for other countries, not just Australia and New Zealand.
Johnson further adds that keeping this players in the Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika is a vital part in keeping them connected with the country that they love, as well as ensuring they play for Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.
The Drua play the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday.
