Fiji Airways men’s national 7s coach Ben Gollings says there’s every opportunity to win gold at the Commonwealth Games if the team plays to its potential.
Gollings says it’s always a big task to win gold but it is within their capability.
Fiji has never won gold in 7s rugby at the Commonwealth Games. The team settled for silver in 1998, 2002 and 2018 Games and bronze in 2006.
Fiji is pooled with Canada, Wales and Zambia.
Defending champions New Zealand is in Pool A with England, Samoa and Sri Lanka while South Africa, Scotland, Tonga and Malaysia are in Pool B.
Pool D has Australia, Kenya, Uganda and Jamaica.
The 7s competition will take place from 29th July to 1st August.
