There should be no smoking zones in any school in the country.
Permanent Secretary for Education, Doctor Brij Lal has stressed this as he ordered the removal of a Designated Smoking Area sign-board at Suva Grammar School located in a ground opposite the main school office.
Doctor Lal said all schools are smoke-free and there should be no provisions for smokers.
He said the Designated Smoking Area sign-board at Suva Grammar was taken down on Tuesday.
