Acting Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu says there is a possibility of convening a National Symposium bringing together all stakeholders in an effort to address crime.
He highlighted this during a meeting with over 30 Civil Society Organisations.
Tudravu says while there were issues raised regarding police service delivery, the purpose of the meeting was to establish networking to address such issues.
Tudravu says the Force acknowledged the valuable contribution Civil Society Organisations give towards crime prevention initiatives as they have expertise and specialised knowledge in specific areas where Police lack.
Tudravu says they value the contribution made by Civil Society Organisations as they also receive reports and the Force welcomes criticism, positive comments and anything else they may contribute.
Director Strategic Planning, Senior Superintendent of Police, Aporosa Lutunauga also presented statistics on the past crime trends during the meeting.
