The Blues have said Sunday's Super Rugby Aotearoa match against the Crusaders at Eden Park will only take place if Auckland shifts to Covid-19 alert level 1 or 2.
However, after the Covid-19 outbreak in Auckland, the prospect of the match proceeding is bleak with the city at alert level 3.

With Eden Park becoming a new coronavirus testing centre today, it's almost certain to be cancelled.
Auckland went back into lockdown on Wednesday after the community transmission of Covid-19 cases emerged this week.
Eden Park was sold out for the Kiwi competition's final match with more than 43,000 fans buying tickets, but it's unlikely to go ahead after another 13 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Auckland on Thursday.
All those cases were linked to the Auckland family who recently tested positive.

The status of the match will be determined by the alert level announcement by the NZ Prime Minister at 5.30pm today.
The Crusaders have won the Super Rugby Aotearoa.
