Today is to reflect on the milestone and acknowledge the journey that has not been without twists and turns in gathering voices to reflect fairness, inclusivity and power of unity.
These were the words of the Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration and former President of NFP, Pio Tikoduadua during the 60th- National Federation Party’s anniversary and party convention held at Penang Sangam School in Rakiraki today.
Tikoduadua says the convention is a testimony to all hard work and sacrifices made by the party in creating an environment of equality for its citizens.
He says they are proud as a party that they have attained personal achievement in the last 60 years. Tikoduadua says they stand united resolved to rekindle the veins of democracy and work hand in hand to reinforce these ideals for a brighter future for Fiji and all its people. He says he has left the presidency with a lot of joy because he knows the party is in better hands. Tikoduadua further says the celebration is not simply a nostalgic remembrance but to call for action to participate in restoring the pillars of democracy and the rule of law.
