Opposition Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka says the church is the very foundation that upholds this nation.

While opening the Annual Conference and Bazaar for the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma, Rabuka says it is because of the church that Fiji moved away from cannibalism to a christian nation.

He says through the hardwork and determination of past missionaries the nation of Fiji was able to be enlightened through the word of God.

He adds they are grateful for the invitation to open this annual event and they will always be available if they are needed again.

Rabuka was accompanied by SODELPA President and MP, Ro Filipe Tuisawau as well as other SODELPA parliamentarians which include Anare Jale, Adi Litia Qionibaravi, Viliame Gavoka, Jese Saukuru and Salote Radrodro.
