The very big, hairy and scary Yeti made his first appearance yesterday at Fiji Showcase at the Vodafone Arena.

Along with Yeti, Cookie the Clown also took the stage in his first show yesterday.

Meanwhile, international entertainer Fraser Hooper is excited to be at Fiji Showcase this year and is urging people to watch him in action.

Cartoon characters such as Sponge Bob, Kung Fu Panda, Ben 10, Dora the Explorer, Minions, Batman and Spiderman will also be at Fiji Showcase. 

Total Event Company Manager Loretta Jackson said the cartoon characters are ready to entertain people of all ages at Fiji Showcase.

Meanwhile, Fiji Elections Office will be holding a mock polling today outside the Vodafone Arena.

Communications Coordinator Talei Tora said people will witness how to vote in an actual polling station.

The Fiji Elections office booth will allow the public to register to vote if they have not registered, will give the chance to people to check their details and change them and people can also make an application for postal ballot.

Looking at entertainment, Cookie’s Crazy Comedy Show will begin at 1.15pm followed by Colors of India at 1.30pm.

Children’s Entertainment will start at 2.15pm while the Character Parade will be at 2.30pm.

The Funny Business Show will start at 2.45pm with the Chinese Youth Variety Show to start at 3.15pm.

The doors for Fiji Showcase will be open till 9 tonight.
