The Pumas will be playing in honour of their nation’s favourite son, the late Diego Maradona, in their Tri-Nations rematch against the All Blacks in Newcastle on Saturday.
Maradona died today from a heart attack aged 60.
Argentina's president declared three days of national mourning after Maradona’s death and tributes have been pouring in from around the world for one of football’s best players of all time.
Maradona was an avid follower of Argentina’s national teams, including the rugby team who famously beat the All Blacks for the first time in Sydney two weeks ago.
His death will hurt their squad and be added motivation because the players will want to lift the spirits of a nation and pay tribute to Maradona when they face the All Blacks again.
Argentina face the All Blacks at 8.45pm Saturday.
