Fiji play with intuition, with intellect and are bolting on real control and fine structures to their undoubted natural skillset.
This was stated by Wallabies legend David Campese while having his analysis on the Fiji Water Flying Fijians clash against the Wallabies earlier this week.
Campese says the Flying Fijians were bloody brilliant and the power and imagination of their backline was absolutely joyous to watch.
He says the game would have been out of sight from the Wallabies rather than the nailbiter that was witnessed if 7 of the Flying Fijians' lineout throws were not stolen.
Campese says he applauds the composure of Fiji towards the end and Coach Simon Raiwalui was the coolest of customers that he was even aware enough to order the kick for goal at the end to try and grab that vital bonus point when his team was in emotional turmoil celebrating on the pitch.
He says Fiji murdered Australia at the breakdown, both on the floor and in carrying into contact and every time the Wallabies got position or a territorial foothold, they got turned over.
He adds it did not matter which player it was, the Fijians were like clamps over the ball, wonderfully legal and absolutely accurate.
Campese says it was absolutely outstanding work from all 15 Fijians as they’re pretty much the most effective stealing side in the tournament.
The Flying Fijians will play Georgia in their third RWC pool clash on the 1st of October at 3.45am. Meanwhile, Italy will play Uruguay at 3.45am on Thursday in the first match of round 3 of the RWC pool matches.
