The Fiji Red Cross Society will be providing relief packs to the people affected by TC Tino in Moce Island today

The Fiji Red Cross Society will be providing relief packs to the people affected by TC Tino in Moce Island today.

Operations Manager, Patiliai Leqa says their teams have taken 750 relief packs to provide immediate help to the people affected by TC Tino in the Lau Group.

They provided immediate relief packs to the people in Oneata yesterday.

Items such as shelter items, blanket, clothes, hygiene kits, mosquito nets and tarpaulins have been given to people whose homes have been damaged.

He says their teams have also assisted the team of National Disaster Management Office to conduct initial damage assessment on Oneata Island yesterday.

He says their team has provided immediate relief items to 12 households in Savusavu and Rabi Island affected by Tropical Cyclone Tino over the weekend.
