“The 2006 coup brought true democracy to this nation.”

This was stated by Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development, Viam Pillay while speaking in Parliament on the 2019/2020 National Budget.

Pillay says the Leader of Opposition and SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka brought chaos to the nation in 1987.

Pillay says people are now suffering from lifestyle diseases because of the actions of Rabuka.

Pillay also says that it was because of Rabuka that a lot of money has to be put into different sectors.
