Waisake Tewa finished 5th in the Men's 100m Pacific Games final with a time of 10.87 seconds
Tewa started off well taking the lead in the first 30 metres before he was overtaken in the last 70 metres.
Australia took out gold and silver while Samoa settled for bronze.
In the Women's category, Coca Cola Games sprint queen Kesaia Boletakanakadavu finished 7th in her race with a time of 12.70 seconds.
Australia took out gold, with PNG taking silver and bronze.
Meanwhile, Fiji Men's 800m runner Vishant Reddy won bronze.
Team Fiji currently sits in 5th place with 13 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze.
New Caledonia is leading with 63 gold, 41 silver and 39 bronze, while Australia is in second place with 29 gold, 19 silver and 11 bronze.
