Fiji Airways Flying Fijians lock, Tevita Ratuva was handed a red card for a shoulder charge during a ruck on Toulon’s flanker, Mamuka Gorgodze as Toulon defeated Scarlets 17-16 in the Top 14 competition.
The hit left Gorgodze sprawled like a drunk at a wedding.
The red-card penalty was enough for Toulon to hold on to a 1 point victory.
Toulon were without Wales international Rhys Webb, who is listed as carrying a thigh injury, while the Scarlets were without a number of their internationals such as Leigh Halfpenny, Jonathan Davies, Hadleigh Parkes, Rhys Patchell, Gareth Davies, James Davies, Jake Ball, Ken Owens and Wyn Jones who were all missing during the match.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, the Scarlets started the second half well and enjoyed a decent spell of territory.
