There will be temporary road closures by Police in parts of Suva today for New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s motorcade.
According to Police, from 8.45 this morning traffic officers will be deployed along Victoria Parade, Ratu Cakobau Road, Denison Road, Service Street and Ratu Sukuna Road as Ardern will be meeting the Secretary-General of the Pacific Islands Forum.
Traffic officers will control movement along the same roads at 9.30am today to allow Ardern to return to the Grand Pacific Hotel.
At 1.30pm police officers will be deployed along Ratu Sukuna Road into Laucala Bay Road, Flagstaff, Rewa Street towards Suva Primary School, up Princes Road, Wairua and Lady Narain Drive for Ardern’s official visit to RISE project in Tamavua-i-wai.
There will be temporary road closures again from 2.30pm to facilitate Ardern’s return to GPH.
At 4pm today, there will traffic measures along Ratu Sukuna Road, McGregor Road, Flagstaff and down Laucala Bay Road towards the University of the South Pacific.
