Telecom Fiji says they currently have the cheapest price for data in the country which is as low as 22 cents per gigabyte for 30 days - which has been available since 2018.

They have made this comments after fijivillage asked them if there are plans to reduce data rates after the reduction in the data levy and huge reduction in broadband charges earlier announced by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission in September 2019.

They say in the near future, they will be announcing further enhancements to all their internet plans including ADSL broadband, fiber and 4G plans.

Telecom Fiji says they introduced these low internet rates in 2018 - plans as low as $39 for 150GB of data up to $99 for 450GB of data for heavy users.

The company adds being a 100% Fijian owned company, their cheap data rates have always existed to help Fijians connect to the rest of the world at the fastest possible speeds.

It says it is great that other internet service providers have now introduced their new data deals which are almost comparable to theirs.
