Swire Shipping Fijian Drua fly-half Teti Tela is excited about lining up against his former teammate and close friend, James O'Connor when they face the Queensland Reds in the Super Rugby Pacific tonight.
Tela says he learned a lot playing for the Reds in recent years.
He adds he has known O'Connor since his schooling days in Brisbane and going up against a Wallaby is exciting.
The former Reds player was influential in the Drua’s victory over the Rebels last week, converting 4 penalties.
Tela hails from the island of Vanuabalavu in the Lau Group. He played for the Fiji Under 20 in 2011 before joining the Queensland Country in 2015 for the National Rugby Championship.
The Drua will meet the Reds at 8.45 tonight.
In another match tonight, the Crusaders will play the Chiefs at 6.05.
Looking at the results from last night, the Blues beat the Highlanders 32-20 and the Brumbies defeated the Rebels 36-17.
