Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s head coach Ben Gollings says it has always been tough to select a team as there has been a lot of competition within.
Gollings says he knows he has a competitive squad and they know they need to be in form.
He highlighted this in an interview with Radio Apna and Apna Television after the team arrived in New Zealand.
The coach says it is good to add new players in the two tournaments and believes that they have a good balance in their squad.
Meanwhile in pool matches tomorrow, Fiji will play France at 8.32am, they will then take on Kenya at 12pm, before playing Samoa in their final pool match at 3.06pm.
On Sunday, the cup quarter-finals will start at 9.58am, the semi finals will begin at 1.48pm, and the final will be played at 6.56pm.
The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s will kick-off their Hamilton 7s campaign against Great Britain at 10.22am Saturday, they will then take on New Zealand at 2.12pm in their second pool game before taking on PNG at 5.37pm on Saturday.
