Team Great Britain qualified for their first swimming gold medal at the Paris Olympics after the 4x200m freestyle relay team qualified in first place for the final.
The team comprised two-time Olympic gold medallist James Guy, Jack McMillan, Wales Kieran Bird and Tom Dean who set a time of 7:05.11.
The 4x200 freestyle relay will be at 8.15 this morning.
In today’s matches, Australia won gold in the Women’s 100m Backstroke final while Ireland won the Men’s 800m Freestyle final.
In other matches yesterday, Canada won gold in the Women’s 400m Individual Medley final, Romania won gold in the Men’s 200m Freestyle final, Italy won gold in the Men’s 100m Backstroke final while Australia won the Women’s 200m Freestyle final.
Meanwhile, Japan is leading the Olympic tally with 7 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze followed by China with 6 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze, Australia is third with 6 gold and 4 silver while France is fourth with 5 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze.
