The driver of the taxi that was involved in the accident at Marks Street in Suva yesterday afternoon has been charged with dangerous driving but Police are investigating other circumstances surrounding the accident.
A woman received injuries in the accident and Police are awaiting the medical report.
Eyewitnesses say that the taxi driver was allegedly on his phone when the accident occurred.
The driver of the taxi is claiming there may have been a break failure but Police are still awaiting the results of vehicle inspection.
