Tavuki and Solodamu Villages in Kadavu will now benefit more from their land after the Ministry of Fisheries and Forestry handed over 1,000 lime plant seedlings and 400 coconut seedlings so that resource owners can benefit and achieve better things from this.

Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, Kalaveti Ravu says that the Ministry’s Rural Development Programme is an integrated approach to rural development for fisheries and forestry resource owners.

Ravu visited the people of Kadavu, where he was also briefed regarding the infrastructure and other developments.

While speaking during a talanoa session, the Minister highlighted the ministry's plans for the maritime islands and across the country.

Ravu has encouraged villages to utilise the various government services available to realise the potential and better things they can achieve as resource owners.

He also reminded the government officials to perform their duties to the best of their abilities so resource owners can access the best available services provided to them.
