Apakuki Tavodi had received his pastoral certificate days before he was stabbed to death last Thursday in Saweni, Lautoka.
Tavodi’s younger sister, Selaima Adicuvu says he wanted to become a Methodist Church lay preacher.
She says her brother had gone out with friends last Thursday night and was allegedly involved in a fight with another man.
Adicuvu says her brother did not know that the man had a knife and would allegedly stab him.
He was allegedly stabbed by an unknown person who fled in a vehicle.
A farmer has been questioned and released as investigations continued.
