Another Fijian rugby player is on the radar of All Blacks coach Scott Robertson as he still tries to finalise his squad for the three-test series against France in July.
Highlanders captain Timoci Tavatavanawai, who has been instrumental for the Otago side in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific this season, is on Robertson's radar.
While experienced players like captain Scott Barrett are pacing themselves for the business end of the season, Robertson is closely watching emerging talent.
Other players on Robertson's radar are Du'Plessis Kirifi from the Hurricanes, Caleb Tangitau from the Highlanders, Kyle Preston from the Crusaders, and Kyren Taumoefolau from Moana Pasifika.
With 10 rounds left before the playoffs, Robertson's focus remains on building a squad that peaks at the right time.
In the Super Rugby Pacific this week, the Hurricanes will face the Waratahs at 6.05pm Friday, the Brumbies will meet the Highlanders at 8.35pm Friday, the Crusaders will take on Moana Pasifika at 6.05pm Saturday, and the Reds will play the Force at 8.35pm Saturday.
The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and the Waratahs are on a bye this week.
