Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s forward Joseva Talacolo has made his way back into the squad for the upcoming HSBC Perth 7s next week while Captain Jerry Matana has been ruled out due to injury.
Fiji Men’s 7s coach Osea Kolinisau has also included Tira Wilagi, Rubeni Kabu and Sakiusa Siqila into the squad after impressive performances from them during the recent McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s.
Iowane Teba was the only player from outside of the Fiji 7s team that played in the Coral Coast 7s to be named in the final 13-member squad for the Perth 7s after a gallant performance from him while playing for the McDonald’s Mike Friday Select 7s side during the tournament.
The final 13-member squad include Kavekini Tanivanuakula, Suliano Volivoli, Joseva Talacolo, Tira Wilagi, Rubeni Kabu, Pilipo Bukayaro, Terio Veilawa, Filipe Sauturaga, Iowane Teba, George Bose, Joji Nasova, Vuiviwa Naduvalo and Sakiusa Siqila.
Fiji will take on Uruguay at 3.22pm Friday in their first pool match, they will then take on Kenya at 7.59pm Friday before playing New Zealand at 4.22pm Saturday in their final pool match.
The Men’s Cup quarter finals will kick off at 9.27pm Saturday, the semi finals will be at 7.05pm Sunday and the cup final will kick off at 11.35pm.
The Fijiana 7s will take on the USA at 4.06pm Friday in their first pool match, they will then play Canada at 8.21pm Friday before playing Great Britain at 6.19pm Saturday in their final pool match.
The Women’s cup quarter finals will kick off at 12.02am Sunday, the cup semi finals will start at 7.49pm Sunday and the cup final will kick off at 12.11am Monday.
