A farmer from Tabia Hill, Labasa is calling on the Government to assist his family after losing more than 40 goats and 18 sheep during a landslide at his farm this morning.
The farmer says earlier this year, he requested if the Government could assist him with a sheep shed and fence but his application was unsuccessful.
He says with the current weather faced in the Northern Division, most of his livestock have found shelter in a hill where the landslide occurred.
fijivillage News has sent questions to the Permanent Secretary for Agriculture and is waiting for his response.
