Two employees of the iTaukei Land Trust Board and a businessman appeared in the Labasa Magistrates Court today on allegations of bribery.
TLTB Senior Estate Officer, Nemani Tamani has been charged by FICAC with four counts of bribery.
He is alleged to have received $16,500 from his co-accused on two occasions in 2019, whilst serving as the Acting Regional Manager North.
TLTB Legal Officer Kelepi Ratule is also charged with four counts of bribery where he allegedly asked for advantages and accepted $2,850.
Businessman, Varun Anand is facing four counts of bribery as he is alleged to have offered these advantages to the public servants.
They have been released on bail and the matter has been adjourned to 15 February next year.
