Sydney’s ANZ Stadium has “sold out” for the NRL grand final tonight to end a season that many punters thought would never happen.
The western Sydney stadium is allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity despite the coronavirus pandemic, which threatened to shut down the entire competition.
It means 40,000 people will be on hand to watch Melbourne and Penrith do battle for the Provan Summons Trophy.
The Penrith Panthers will meet the Melbourne Storm at 8.30 tonight.
