Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors produced one of their best performances as they ran in nine tries to beat Manuma Samoa 60-10 in the first match of the Fiji Rugby Invitational Series at the HFC Bank Stadium.
The visitors had the first say in the game when Ailepata Jnr Lemalu scored the first try after a perfect line-out.
After numerous attempts, Ilikimi Torosi dived in the corner to level the score 5-all.
Half-back Simi Kuruvoli added three extra points through the penalty kick.
Joji Kunavula and Apisalome Vota then scored a try each as the hosts took a 22-5 lead at the breather.
Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors made a powerful start in the final 40 and skipper Tevita Ikanivere beautifully broke the defense to run over for yet another try.
Ikanivere and Kunavula managed to get a double while Peni Kadralevu, Jack Volavola and Michael Naitokani scored a try.
Captain Tevita Ikanivere says he was proud of the performance of his players as they played their hearts out in the first match.
He says they have young players in the team and he was really happy with their performance as they played according to the game plans and it feels good to get a win at home.
Fijian Warriors takes on Manuma Samoa in the final match at 3pm at the HFC Bank Stadium next Saturday.
