The grand final of the Skipper Cup competition 2023 has been confirmed with defending champions Jacks Nadi taking on FMF Suva next week at the HFC Bank Stadium.
Suva overcame a determined Nadroga side to win 23-15 in a back-and-forth battle on their home turf in the first semi final.
The capital city side led 8-7 at halftime.
The second half was filled with a lot of entertainment as both teams went all out against each other, but Suva was too strong in the end to claim the win.
In the second semi final, defending champions Nadi came from behind to beat Naitasiri 23-21 in a pulsating match that went down to the wire.
It was a double header as well with Nadi defending the Farebrother Trophy.
Naitasiri took an early 13-0 in the first half before Nadi came back strong in the second half to lead 23-16.
Naitasiri toiled hard and in attack and scored a try at the sound of the full-time hooter and it was down to the conversion which was missed that gave Nadi the win.
Suva will host Nadi at the HFC Bank Stadium next week Saturday at 3pm in the final.
