The Suva Retailers Association says with the assistance of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, their members are now able to resume limited services via online and digital platforms.

Association President, Jitesh Patel believes that in this effort to stimulate economic activity by Government, its members can begin to intensify their operations online while ensuring that all necessary protocols are met especially for delivery of products.

However Patel says all members are reminded to adhere to all necessary COVID-safe protocols enforced by the Ministry of Health and Medical Service and the Fiji Police Force such as wearing of masks, use of the careFIJI App, maintain physical distancing and restricting any and all unnecessary movements.

Patel says they are now provided with the opportunity to increase, and for some explore, online sales and shopping experiences for customers.

They encourage customers to visit their favourite stores online via Facebook, Instagram or websites to shop.

Customers can still call the stores to find out more about the range of products available and make other payment arrangements such as MPAISA etc.

The Association believes that they have a shared responsibility to ensure that their family, staff and customers are safe and this will only be possible with their collective efforts and by working together.
